The 2016 festival will feature the planet premiere of Takal’s Always Shine
The Tribeca Film Festival unveiled the very first 1 / 2 of its annual slate of flicks Wednesday, an archive third which come from female company directors including Sophia Takal and Ingrid Jungermann.
The anthology film Madly, that has segments from Gael Garcia Bernal and Mia Wasikowska, can make its world premiere in the festival, and so will the R-rated cartoon comedy showbiz takedown Nerdland featuring the voices of Paul Rudd and Patton Oswalt.
Other world premieres in the New You are able to festival include comedian Demetri Martin’s directorial debut Dean, starring Gillian Jacobs and Kevin Kline, and Bill and Turner Ross’ concert documentary Contemporary Color.
Also playing would be the Billy Burke and Nicholas Hoult drama Equals and-Rise starring Tom Hiddleston.
The festival runs April 13-24.
